SeaPerch is an underwater robotics innovative program that prepares students to build a Remotely Operated underwater Vehicle (ROV) for submarine missions in a classroom or out-of-school setting with a special kit that consists of low-cost and easily accessible parts. Each season has a new theme and a new set of competition tasks, challenging teams to expand on their original vehicle design. Throughout the program, students will learn engineering concepts, problem-solving, design skills, and teamwork. They will also be exposed to all the exciting possible careers in naval architecture and marine/ocean engineering.
Any elementary, middle, and high school students from the Gulf Countries can join this challenge by designing a remotely operated vehicle to perform specific underwater missions according to every year’s theme.
